This was my first book by Molly and it was really good. I loved Tony and Nicole. Both were dealing with life in their own way and neither one wanted to get attached to the other. But it’s hard when the chemistry between these two starts right from the first time they meet. This book is told through both Tony and Nicole’s POVs so we get a back-story, feelings, and emotions of both.Nicole is only in River Bend to clean out her grandmother’s things and then she is moving away and starting her life all over again. Nicole is running from her past and she doesn’t want to get caught up in this little town that will only stop her from continuing her dream. But when she meets sexy as sin Tony Dunn and his adorable little daughter, her world is flipped in a completely different direction. Nicole still has plans to leave but what’s a little fun while she is there. But when she leave can her heart take it?
Tony is a single father trying to hold her head up high. He loves his daughter very much and would do anything for her. But his partying days are over. Now it’s cooking, cleaning, working full time, and taking care of his sweet baby. Tony is looking for someone to help him out with his daughter and that’s where Nicole steps in. Tony knows right away that getting involved with Nicole is a bad idea because he needs her. But why not have a little fun while he can… what could go wrong?
This book sucked me in from the first page. I loved watching the changes in not only Nicole but Tony as well. These two haven’t been dealt the best hand at life but they are both doing everything they can to change that. They both want different things but they also want each other. The attraction between these two is beautiful. There were also times I wanted to scream and cry for both of them. I really hope to see more from these two in the future!

In my view, this story is better than the first one in the series, even though I did love Josh and Carissa. Five stars for real issues, real hard decisions, real love. Five stars for a great dad, a great babysitter, and a great couple. Five stars for Brianna! I'm glad the Derek issue was cleared out of the way, and although I'm not sure how I feel about Shannon being rehabbed and in Brianna's and Tony's lives, the fact that Tony finally gets Nicole for Christmas more than makes up for any lingering disquiet I feel. I guess it's okay for Shannon to be in her daughter's life, even if she doesn't deserve to be. This book is one I'd go back and re-read, because this couple is so endearing.
The sex in this book is little more explicit than I care for but the story is absolutely great. Tony and Nicole have both been hurt in the past and are concerned about getting into a relationship. Nicole is in town to take care of her grandmother's estate and then leave for a job that she has waiting in Chicago. Unforeseen problems leave her in a financial bind and she takes a temporary job caring for Tony's baby. Tony is everything that you hope a single father would be. He is so tender and caring with his daughter and he stole Nicole's heart...and mine. Both Tony and Nicole have problems from their past that need to be worked out. The plot is good, the characters are extremely well done, and the writing is great. I will be reading more of Ms McLain's books.

In the first book of this series, "Can't Shake You" Tony makes an appearance a few times, which is where I started to like him. In that book, we got to see that he's a real friend and stand-up guy. I was so glad to see we were able to read his story, too. He's thoughtful, sweet, and doing the best he can with his situation. For Tony, this books is about things falling into place just when your life seems to be crazy and a little out of control. The female character in this book, Nicole, is very likable. She's not weak, but she's not overbearing either. She's not a doormat, and she has a good heart. She has her issues and her plans, but for her, life is not always what you plan. (Is it ever?) There are some steamy scenes in this book, of course! My only complaint about this series of books is that I'm losing sleep from staying up too late. No, that's not MY fault...
This sweet and sexy romance is the story of Tony and Nicole. Nicole is in River Bend for only a few months to wrap up her grandmother's estate, taking on the care of handsome and sweet single dad Tony's baby daughter Bri in a bid to raise some much needed funds. But when the lines between friend and something more blur, will Nicole be able to give up her plans of an independent life in the big city for a ready made family that wants her to stay?
I loved this story! It's the first I've read by this author and definitely won't be the last. Tony is portrayed as a dedicated single father, doing his best to juggle his career and full custody of a little girl he only recently learned about. He has his hands full, and when Nicole answers his ad for a caregiver, he hires her despite his full blown attraction to her, knowing that what's best for his daughter outweighs anything else. Nicole is an independent, caring and friendly woman, divorced from a controlling man and determined to finish her business in River Bend and move on with her life. She is equally attracted to Tony and the sexual tension between them simmers, pulling them into an affair that quickly leads to deeper feelings on both sides. The love scenes between them were steamy and emotional. I particularly liked how Tony was able to put the needs of his daughter first when dealing with her mother, making difficult but fair decisions. Secondary characters also played a key role in the story, with the dynamics of small town life accurately portrayed, adding humour and witty dialogue to the situations that Nicole and Tony find themselves in, and giving a real feeling of camaraderie between the groups of female and male friends.
Overall I found this to be a really fun read, with engaging characters, an interesting plot, a cute baby (awww) and a satisfying happy ending. 5 stars!
